Workshops planned at UFO Museum

ROSWELL — “How to Make Experimental Sci-Fi Sound” workshops will be held May 8 at the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell.
The workshops will be right after students finish school for the day, from 3:30-5 p.m., and one from 6-8 p.m.
The workshops will be sponsored by the Circuit-Bending Hackerspace Rock Band from California. It is part of the Hackerspace Tour 2012.
There will be demonstrations of “space-y” homemade devices, the organizers said.
Activities will be held inside the museum proper and in the museum’s North Library, said Julie Shuster, executive director of the Museum.
“This is the first time ever in Roswell,” she said.
Experimental electronic kits — costing between $1 and $20 each — will be on sale. There also will be a small fee, to cover expenses.
